Description

The milky way rises over this awe-inspiring waterfall and Jupiter is the heart of the galactic dark horse. This shot had been on my mind for some time and I travelled 1488km round trip in 34 hours just to get it before the window on it closed for the year. I arrived a few hours before core-rise and spent half an hour lighting the falls just right and doing test shots as the core moved into position and another 45 mins firing off frames. When i was finished I stood alone under the stars for what seemed like an eternity, grateful for everything and everyone in my life that brought me to that moment.
