I am beyond thrilled and honoured to have been named the 2024 Canadian Geographic Photographer of the Year!

This is about as big an award as one can get in Canadian nature photography. I’m still struggling to find the proper words to express myself about it. I never expected anything like this to happen when I first picked up a camera all those years ago and I’m so grateful for all of the friendships, adventures and opportunities photography has given me. CanGeo’s mission to tell our history and environmental stories while supporting Canadian photographers is one I share so to be recognized in this way is truly a massive honour.
