This is the southern end of a massive storm that rocked the Edmonton area around 8:30pm on August 2nd, 2019 as seen from Collingwood Cove. Classic supercell formation throwing a bolt of lighting ahead of it to let everyone know it means business! I left to chase around 6pm and various circumstances led me to believe I was coming home empty handed (again) but I ended up in a great position to be on the south side of the big one and then on the north side of the smaller follow up front. From this position I literally got one drop of rain between 730 and 930 while the city got hit with golf ball+ sized hail.
