Enter the Whale’s Mouth

This chase on August 2nd, 2018 proved very fruitful when I caught this MASSIVE shelf cloud over this field of hay bales just south of Seba Beach, AB. I'd been waiting all summer for a shot like this and boy did I get it that night! This storm moved incredibly fast, the gust front picked up dirt from the nearby power plants and created a mini haboob shortly after this, and the lightning was really intense. The whale's mouth cloud formations just behind the shelf were stunning and huge. I was only able to get ahead of it a couple of times before it completely overtook me. But man, what a chase!
