If you’ve ever been to Waterton National Park you’ll know that getting still waters here is somewhat of a rarity. The winds have a tendency to whip fiercely through the mountains, piling driftwood high along the shore. Imagine my surprise one chilly spring morning when I drove through looking for wildlife and coming upon glassy reflections instead! I rushed to the lake edge, not knowing how long the conditions would last and there I sat with my thoughts until the wind and ripples returned. Truth be told, this was the first landscape shot I’d taken in months and I damn near forgot how it was done!
