Horned Lark in a Splash of Light

Horned larks are tricky subjects. You can see them along the roadside, watch them land and never see them again. Thankfully this one came to me as I explored a coulee one spring morning. As I happily snapped photos of this one, he slowly made his way into this splash of light creating an opportunity for a special moment.
