We started out at 4am, shot sunrise on the ice for 3 hours in winds that reached 80km/h, ventured to other secret spots and returned once again to the lake for another hour and a half on the ice for sunset in intense winds. My lips were wind burnt, my knees bruised from the ice and my muscles sore from packing gear over treacherous, icy terrain and I couldn’t have been happier the whole day over, especially when it results in shots like this.
