This photo is one of those examples of being open to scenes you’re not expecting. I took this while out birding and all I had with me was a 150-600mm lens, you know, for birds. As I got halfway down this tree tunnelled road I turned and looked behind me to see the entrance far, far behind and knew I needed to take this shot. Thankfully the long lens provided ample compression to help make this image work, especially since I didn’t find too many birds to photograph that day.
