One of the benefits of living in a place as beautiful as Alberta is that I'm able to visit some of my favourite locations many times over. Doing so over the past decade has given me the opportunity to experience these locations under a variety of conditions and qualities of light. When I'm on adventures to new to me locations, I love timing my visits during moments of optimal light and as a night photographer, I've often returned to these locations, old and new, long after the sun has set and the crowds have disappeared in order to enjoy them all to myself.

Night photography is arguably my favourite type of nature photography and being able to enjoy the world in this way is especially fulfilling for me. I love being under the stars, alone, at a time when most of the world is quiet and asleep and capturing these stunning locations in ways most people will never experience them.

Over the years I've slowly built up a collection of locations that I've been fortunate to experience under exceptional conditions both during the day and at night. This has led me down a path of deliberately returning to other spots to capture them again, under one condition or the other, based on previous excursions there, and curating a new series of images entitled Day and Night. This is an ongoing project and one that will help keep me engaged at locations both new and old. I hope you enjoy this series and I look forward to growing it over the coming years.
