Photos and experiences like this always leaving me feeling humbled and of inconsequence. We are nothing compared to the mountains who have stood for millennia. The mountains are nothing compared to the stars who have shone for billions of years. And yet both the mountains and ourselves are all of the stars, binding us together in some sort of cosmic order, no matter how fleeting our time in the universe may be.

There’s something comforting in that.
