There's nothing quite like waking up to the sound of the western meadowlark singing in the morning. I took this the morning after a very long day of storm chasing that took us to Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan. We awoke to the entire area blanketed in thick fog. As the sun rose, diffused golden light was cast across the Prairie and I caught this lone western meadowlark perched atop this shrub singing is beautiful song.
