July 16th was one of the most incredible chase days I’ve ever experienced. 5 separate storm systems moved through central Alberta, one right after another. As the fourth system rolled ever closer to me southeast of Red Deer, the oranges of sunset deepened on the clouds and this straight line bolt split my frame. This is what we live for when we chase!
