July 16th was one of the most incredible chase days I’ve ever experienced. 5 separate storm systems moved through central Alberta, one right after another. This was the third system, just northeast of Red Deer. The winds on this storm were incredible and I was worried my cameras would be shaking too much but I was so thrilled to see these gorgeous bolts when I was reviewing my timelapse images from the day, tack sharp and perfect. This is one of the best lightning shots I’ve taken.
